 Veteran’s Week 2017

Schedule of Events

All Week we are celebrating Veterans, Thanks for Serving.

 

 

 

 

Tuesday 11/7/2017 –  Our Opening Day ceremony starts at  3:00 p.m. and ends around 4:00 p.m. We will have a Color
Guard and speakers to honor our Veterans.  We will present one of our Veterans with a plaque and a one year
membership to Chehaw Animal Park. MCLB will be setting up Military Equipment in Various Locations.

 

 

 

Wednesday 11/8/2017 – On our Main Midway Music Stage, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , we will present a Veteran with a plaque and a one
year membership to Chehaw Animal Park. 7:00 to 7:30  Lee County JROTC  Demonstration. 
MCLB will be setting up Military Equipment in Various Locations.

 

 

 

Thursday 11/9/2017 – On our Main Midway Music Stage, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , we will present a Veteran with a plaque and a one
year membership to Chehaw Animal Park. 7:00 to 7:30  Monroe JROTC Demonstration.  
MCLB will be setting up Military Equipment in Various Locations

 

 

 

 

Friday 11/10/2017 – On our Main Midway Music Stage, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. , we will present a Veteran with a plaque and a one
year membership to Chehaw Animal Park. 
MCLB will be setting up Military Equipment in Various Locations.

 

 

 

Saturday 11/11/2017 – “Veteran’s Day”, we  have another Color Guard and speakers.  Our special guests will be
our WWII and Korean War Veterans. Our celebration will be open to all Veterans and we will be providing lunch for up
to 200 Veterans in our main dining room from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
MCLB will be setting up Military Equipment in Various Locations.

 

 

 

Sunday 11/12/2017 –    Veteran’s Get in Fair Free. ( All Week ).  MCLB will be setting up Military Equipment in Various Locations.


 

 

Flint Community Bank is sponsoring a display of a 1/5 th  duplicate of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier all week.  This is
a phenomenal display and has traveled all over the Southeast and has won several awards.

The American Legion Post 335 of Sylvester is providing a “Field of Flags” with over 300 American Flags.

The American Legion Post 30 of Albany is providing a “Field of Crosses” with the names of our Veterans from Dougherty and Lee counties that were killed in action.
